
The nutrition and dietetic division at Fortis Memorial Research Institute has become one-stop centre of excellence for everything pertaining to nutrition and diet with respect to health and illness. It strives to bring a positive change in the lives of people by providing comprehensive dietetic services to both in-patients and out-patients.
Our dieticians work in close association with other departments such as Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular Disease, Endocrinology, Oncology, Neurology, Critical Care, Cystic Fibrosis and Gastroenterology to ensure best outcomes from the department.
As part of our dietetic services, we also supervise the quality and the quantity of foods/enteral feeds given to inpatients, in accordance with physician guidance. The nutritional care and services we offer patients broadens to children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
A broad range of complex cases are also referred on to the department, including outpatients with chronic conditions and in-patients with chronic conditions and/or acute episodes who are severely ill.
Our nutrition and dietetic team work within the hospital and across the community in various settings such as GP clinics, care homes and schools and offer a wide range of specialised dietetic services including

The department runs several nutrition-related programs in the community to spread awareness about the effect of improper diet on the health of people.
