Christmas is a time of celebration and is filled with joy, laughter, light and music. Above all, it is a time of giving and sharing for all. The true spirit of Christmas lies in spreading love through gifts. Department of Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences under the aegis of Dr Samir Parikh, conducted “Santa for a Day”, a day dedicated to all children admitted in the IPD or visiting the outpatient departments within the hospital. Using red felt hats, paint and sketch pens children designed their own Santa hats to celebrate their ability to give, share and spread compassion and joy. The Wall of Christmas Cheer was put up where children, caregivers, as well as hospital staff and administrators came and wrote messages about what they would like to gift their loved ones, by being Santa for a day.
