The Department of Oncology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI) is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients with cancer.  We understand how valuable life is and all our activities are focused on providing the best possible cancer care to our patients.

At the Department of Oncology, we have a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses and other health professionals specialising in treating cancers. They discuss and prepare the most effective and individualised treatment plan for you. In addition, they keep you involved in available treatment options and decisions about your treatment and care.

The Department specialises in breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, and head and neck cancer, as well as brain and spinal cord tumours, ophthalmic oncology and palliative medicine. The Department also runs an extensive medical program, with experienced sub-specialists in the field of Medical Oncology, Haematology – adult & paediatric, Radiation Oncology, Specialised Onco Surgery, and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) services.
