Successful management of patients with hematologic malignancies depends upon accurate and timely diagnosis, which frequently requires integration and interpretation of multiple tests like morphologic examination of peripheral blood, bone marrow aspirate, and bone marrow biopsy specimens.
In a country where 80% of cancers are detected only at Stage 4, accurate and timely diagnosis is critical for a positive outcome.
Fortis and SRL are committed to this, and upholding this commitment, today, April 27th, 2019, SRL in collaboration with Dr. Rahul Bhargava, Director, Institute of Blood disorders, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, conducted the first 'Hematopathology Update and Workshop' at FMRI.
The program essentially focuses on the importance of these diagnostic modalities for early diagnosis and better patient outcomes.
It was inaugurated by Mr Arindam Halder, CEO of SRL, along with Dr. B. Keshav Rao, Head MOG, Fortishealthcare. They were accompanied by Dr. Ritu Garg, Zonal Director FMRI, Dr. Abha Sabhikhi, Technical Director, SRL CoE & SRL Fortis Labs, Dr. Aarti Gupta, Dr Ajay Dogra, Dr Rajeev Nayyar, Dr. Sachin Jain and Dr. Sanjeev Gupta from AIIMS.

The Faculty included stalwarts from AIIMS, Fortis and SRL.
