Our Pulmonology Speciality Clinic provides inpatient and outpatient care to both adult and children with respiratory tract problems. These problems include asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic cough, chronic wheezing, noisy airway, neuromuscular disease, children with disabilities that have respiratory problems, infectious diseases involving the respiratory tract, patients on home ventilation, functional respiratory disorders, and other acute and chronic pulmonary disorders.
An integrated approach towards patient care helps us deliver impeccable health care services to our patients in a supportive environment.
The services offered for smoking cessation comprise of initial consultation with a Pulmonologist regarding smoking habits. Patient education is given, and the motivation to stop smoking is discussed. Pharmaceutical intervention may be offered where appropriate counselling is also offered to patients attending the clinic and on a follow up basis as needed.
Asthma patients who are treated on an out-patient basis are periodically scheduled for group demonstrations about asthma, that include various kinds of the disease, common symptoms, frequently used medicines, inhalers, and accessory equipment.
