Annual Cystic Fibrosis Meet held at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram

The Division of Pediatric Pulmonology, Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, organised the “7th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Meet” on 9th June 2019. Cystic Fibrosis is a rare genetic disorder which involves the lungs, gastrointestinal tract, pancreas and other tubular structures. This is a life limiting condition, with the lifespan being approximately 30 – 35 years at the best of centres. Over 50 patients and their parents, from across the country participated in the event. They were given free consults, vaccines & investigations in a backdrop of games and fun / frolic. The main aim of the annual event was to review the patients clinical condition once a year, check their compliance with treatment, and form a support group as well as give psychological boost to these beautiful children as well as their brave parents. It was a huge success and was well appreciated by the participants.
